Nice to see the Hip back in town for the first time in too long. I first saw them at the Aquarius, on the West Side of Saint John, back in the spring of 1989. Of the approximately 5 people in the audience...3 were from the radio station where I worked. At the time, I saw them as a huge breath of fresh air from the spandex 'n' poofy hair bands that were playing the clubs at the time. I was instantly hooked. Since those auspicious beginnings, I think they've done OK.
